  • Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for the board of director positions! We had 5 incredible candidates for the At-Large position and it came down to the wire with a few of them. The results will be made public in the coming weeks, but never underestimate the value of your vote. Once again, the election came down to less than a handful of votes.

  • I had an amazing meeting at Rochester Institute of Technology this week regarding having our STEAMfest and MakerFaire there. Although we have not finalized a contract yet, the meetings were fantastic and we are planning on all systems GO for the 2024 MakerFaire and STEAMfest! The location is perfect with free parking and beautiful facilities. Mark your calendars now for the weekend of November 15 for STEAMfest and November 16 for MakerFaire. Volunteers are definitely needed for both events since it is no longer the same weekend of the conference.

On another very exciting note - I had the pleasure of meeting with Syracuse University and OCM BOCES today about planning a full-day eSports Experience the Saturday before the Annual Conference. We will be onsite at a high school, then at SU with the 3 new arenas they are opening, and then at a full-blown gaming arena! So excited to make these connections through our incredible members, in this case, Amy Keesey! Looks like the November event is shaping up to be INCREDIBLE!!!
