As Temperatures Rise, Community Rallies

WOW! A huge and heartfelt thank you to the many groups who have stepped up to volunteer their time providing heat relief at Key Campus early in this summer season.

Whether it's handing out cold bottles of water, providing wellness checks to clients, or building kits filled with supplies - our volunteers are absolutely vital to our heat relief efforts at Key Campus.

And we're just getting started! Heat relief volunteering and our Thirst Aid water bottle drive run through the end of September with plenty of ways to engage and give.

Thank you!!

Arizona College of Nursing

Rise and shine! Sometimes the best way to beat the heat - is to literally beat the clock. Nursing students from the Arizona College of Nursing have committed to morning shifts throughout the summer months, arriving at 6:45am to distribute heat relief supplies and ice water on Campus.

These students gain valuable experience and exposure to the health challenges of homelessness, while our clients benefit from compassionate attention and care. What a great way to start the day!

Moss Adams volunteers distributing iced water and electrolyte drinks after touring Campus to learn about the 15 partner agencies working to end homelessness.

Thank you to Keys to Change board members Shannon and Rima for setting up this opportunity.

Operation HOPE

Volunteers from Deloitte joined us on their annual Impact Day to distribute water and create Cooling Packs for emergency relief.

They also installed a mural, cleaned out the client Safe Storage area, and built shelves for the donation center. What a day!

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Volunteers joining us from AZ Blue helped out by splitting up into teams and distributing cold water to clients on the Key Campus.

With extra hands from volunteers to assist with hydration and heat relief, Keys to Change front-line staff can focus on their individual work with clients to make progress on their housing plans.

Time is a most valuable resource, and we're so grateful to those who spend it with us!

Ready to get involved? Thirst Aid at Key Campus provides multiple ways to stay engaged with heat relief efforts benefitting our unhoused neighbors. Host a drive, volunteer as a group, or contact us about setting up a crowd fundraiser!

Let's save lives together.
