LWVOPRF June 26 Week in Preview
Senate Health Care Action This Week
The Senate has been working in secret to draft legislation that would repeal the Affordable Care Act and we anticipate the legislation to move forward in the next seven days. Every report we have seen indicates this legislation will be worse than the version passed in the U.S. House earlier this month.  NOW is the time to contact your Senators and let them know how you feel. LWV US has been actively working to contact members of the Senate regarding this legislation. They have  sent a memo to the hill and  signed letters urging Senators to oppose these provisions. Please call your Senators in district offices and their offices in Washington DC TODAY.
