Sean M. Arnold

Sean Arnold is the director of school pathways for New York City Public Schools. They help guide key future readiness efforts in computer science, esports, AI, financial literacy, college prep, career and technical training. They remain committed to accessibly and equitably reaching all students through innovative technology and practices.


Jackie Patanio

Jackie Patanio is the executive director of School Planning, Modernization and Partnerships-EdTech for the Division of Instructional and Information Technology Staten Island team in New York City Public Schools. Her experience encompasses edtech visioning, professional development, infusion of the ISTE Standards, growth of technology frameworks and content-infused technology, along with leadership development with digital citizenship.


Tim Needles is an artist, educator, performer, and author of the book STEAM Power from ISTE. He has worked as an educator for over 25 years currently serving as a technology integration specialist and teaching art, film, and emerging media at Smithtown School District. He’s a TEDx Talk speaker, professor at Five Towns College, and has been featured on NPR, New York Times, Columbus Museum of Art, and Norman Rockwell Museum. He’s also a board member of NYSCATE and NYSATA, ISTE Community leader, NASA Solar System Ambassador, and Connected Arts Network PLC leader.

This webinar explores data-driven strategies to understand attendance patterns, identify at-risk students, and implement effective intervention initiatives. We'll cover how to analyze attendance data, utilize positive communication campaigns to engage families and apply an equity lens to attendance practices.
