We host regular peer groups in June so I hope to see everyone before our summer break. Our office is closed on Wednesday, June 19, to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. Find more information about the Juneteenth Festival in Cedar Rapids here.

BLOCK PARTY COMING AUGUST 7!

The Community Foundation is celebrating our 75th anniversary with a Block Party for our community on Wednesday, August 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot behind our building. Food trucks will serve free lunch and we will dedicate a new mural on our building! Don't miss the fun and please RSVP here.

NEWS FOR NONPROFITS

IOWA NONPROFIT SUMMIT SEEKS PRESENTERS AND VOLUNTEERS; EVENT COMING TO EASTERN IOWA ON OCTOBER 22

The 2024 Iowa Nonprofit Summit will be held at The Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, October 22. This day-long event is a statewide conference by and for community nonprofits. Workshop proposals are due on June 14. Please consider sharing your expertise!

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ENTERING FINAL STAGE OF GATHERING COMMUNITY INPUT FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is in the process of creating a new strategic plan, and we want to hear from the community at large. Previously you might have filled out a survey specifically for nonprofits; this survey is for those who are and aren't familiar with the Community Foundation. Please share your thoughts here and share on your social media channels so we have a wide variety of input about community needs.

All groups are held in-person. Please register by the deadline so we can order your lunch. Lunch is provided at no cost. All peer group meetings are held at the Community Foundation office at 324 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, on the first floor.
