We're the NCFRW. We fight for America!

June 2024

America betrayed!

As NCGOP Chair Jason Simmons wrote, “We declare this a SHAM VERDICT and stand united behind President Trump.”

Socialists/Communists/Marxists now lead the Democrat party, and President Trump and we Republicans stand in the way of their lust for power.

Judges are out of control. No one is immune from being targeted by unscrupulous, politically motivated persons in the legal community.

That is why we must work harder than ever before to save our nation and elect President Trump in November.

President's Message by Kay Wildt

Debt of Honor: D-Day

The following is taken from a speech of Ronald Reagan:

Words cannot repay the debt we owe the patriots who came before us. Our actions must keep faith with them and with the sacrifices they made.

Our obligation is that the United States and the freedom for which it stands, the freedom for which many died, must endure and prosper. Freedom is not bought cheaply. It has a cost. It imposes a burden.

And just as we commemorate those who were willing to sacrifice, as many did on D-Day on the beaches of Normandy, so must we -- in a less final, less heroic way -- be willing to give of ourselves. Each died for a cause he considered more important than his own life. They didn't volunteer to die; they volunteered to defend values for which heroes have always been willing to die, the values which make up what we call civilization.

Let us pledge that their lives, their sacrifices, their valor shall be justified and remembered for as long as God gives life to this nation.

And let us pledge to do our utmost to carry out their purpose. To keep that flag still waving o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

You know what to do. The time to prepare is NOW!

We depend on you, we need you, and we thank you for your hard work.

Reflection by Margeaux Holland

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assailed me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident of this. One thing have I asked of the Lord — that will I seek after — that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to look upon His temple." Psalm 27: 1-4

NCFRW Legislative Day

Thank you to Senator Phil Berger and Speaker Tim Moore for underwriting our Legislative Day and enabling 175 members to attend. Thanks as well to Representative Harry Warren, our host for the day in the Auditorium.

Superintendent Catherine Truitt updated us on the progress of NC's students, and we loved the yellow roses, a gift from Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey. We thank them. Judge Donna Stroud gave generously of her time at the Court of Appeals, and we appreciated her answering our many questions about the Court.

My deep appreciation to VPs Gay Dillard and Erica Vedeikis for their work to make this day so successful. Special thanks to Angela Vacek who always pitches in.

Judge Donna Stroud explained the history and function of the Court of Appeals.

We loved hearing about the outstanding Republican women who have made history in the NC Judicial branch. Our members had many questions about the different levels of the judiciary.

Members appreciated learning more about our Court of Appeals. Thank you, Judge Donna Stroud, for your excellent presentation!

Runoff election results

Congratulations to these candidates:

Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor: Hal Weatherman

Republican nominee for NC State Auditor: Dave Boliek

Republican nominee for U.S. House District 13: Brad Knott

Lower Cape Fear RW

Primary Runoff Pledge

Members of the Lower Cape Fear Republican Women’s Club pledged to vote in the 2nd Primary Election because runoff elections often have very low voter turnout.

Lower Cape Fear President Carolyn Justice reports that 99.1% of their full members voted in this election. In total, that was 145 full and associate members voting. Members know how important it is to set goals and work hard to reach them.

Onslow RW Fashion Show

The ladies of Onslow Co RW club held a fashion show and fun-raiser where members modeled lovely outfits that ranged from formal to beach casual, and funds were raised in a fabulous Silent Auction.

A visit to Normandy by Penny Jordan

In France I had the honor to visit the immensely sobering region of Normandy where the largest seaborne invasion in history occurred on its beaches in World War II.  I describe it as a terrible beauty overlooking the English Channel.

Our very own 82nd Airborne Division from Fort Bragg and the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, part of the North Carolina National Guard,  landed there.  The heroic actions of our servicemen and women - true examples of Americanism - are deeply remembered.

NCGOP Convention wrap-up

NCGOP Convention - WOW!!!

NCGOP's 2024 Convention was held at the Koury Center in Greensboro. NCGOP Chair Jason Simmons and his team did an outstanding job and made this a convention to remember.

Special guests and speakers at the events included: Kash Patel, RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump, Eric Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Governor Doug Borgum of North Dakota and RNC Co-Chair Michael Whatley.

All our amazing Judges and Council of State candidates were inspiring, and, of course, Lt. Governor Mark Robinson brought down the house.

We are on our way in July to an exciting RNC Convention in Milwaukee where NC RNC Committeeman Ed Broyhill and NC RNC National Committeewoman Kyshia Brassington, re-elected to their positions, are busy planning an outstanding convention.

Many thanks to so many wonderful members from all clubs who donated goodies to our NCFRW Hospitality Suite, especially to VP Gay Dillard of the Central Region and her clubs.

Thank you, Jeanna Benoy, President RW of Granville Co. for helping with our Poppies project. We must never forget those who gave all.
