Did you know - pioneer women were upcycling back in the 1700's! Rag quilts were made out of worn clothing to keep you warm in the days before central heating. A rag quilt is a quick and easy way to make a comfy, cozy quilt for either kids or adults. With exposed seams that fray when washed, a simple pattern, and soft fabrics like worn denim or flannel, rag quilts are not exactly like other types of quilts! They're also great for beginners as well as more experienced quilters looking for something a bit different.

Finish with an embroidered leather tag and loop for that professional look!

“Seasonal Mini Quilts” with Terri Miller
These cleverly designed projects with simple piecing take all the fuss out of placement. All designs fit in a 6" X 10" hoop. Just hoop stabilizer, stitch the placement guides, and the rest fall in line beautifully! You'll be proud of how great the birds on branches and treehouses look, for example! Choose any or all of these classes, but the first class will have more explanation of the technique to make them all easier. Foot of the Month Club

This sampler class is an exploration of your sewing machine and accessory attachments. While this is presented as an applique sampler quilt, it is so much more! We will be learning about machine features to make our project easier, each month exploring some of the accessory feet and attachments available for your machine, and using decorative stitches for applique and embellishment. Don’t want a quilt? These blocks could be turned into pillows, bags, table or bed runners, etc. Pattern is included in the class fee each month.

Class Policy
Buy your class supplies with us!
Supplies purchased for our classes and clubs receive a 20% discount.
Payment for classes must be received at the time of registration. If you cancel 7 or more days before class you will be issued a store credit. There will be no refunds or credit for cancellations less than 7 days before class. If we have to cancel a class, we will reschedule the class when possible or refund the fee.
For inclement weather, we follow the Howard County School System schedule.
