Happy June everybody! Can you believe it’s already June, summer is upon us and the kids are getting out of school? I love summer in Lisle. In addition to the many parks and hiking trails in the area, Lisle has many fun outdoor activities to help make our summer enjoyable. Many of our local restaurants offer outdoor dining, The Lisle French Market is open every Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PrairieWalk Pond, the Kiwanis Club of Lisle hosts the Downtown Lisle Car show each month and Sea Lion Aquatic Park is now open for the season. That’s just a few of the many fun summer activities we can enjoy this season.
The Chamber is also planning their annual Golf Outing which is scheduled for July 16th at Seven Bridges Golf Club. You can contact the Chamber office to register. There are also
sponsorship opportunities available.
Other Chamber events this month include a Ribbon Cutting at Crooked Arm Vinyl & Tap on June 13th. I hope you can join us to welcome them to the Chamber. Ribbon cuttings are a great way to meet new Chamber members and learn about their business. Another way to meet and network with other Chamber members is our LINCT Meeting. This Chamber networking group will meet June 19th at 3:30 p.m. at Kindred Gastropub.
The Lisle Uncorked, Wine Event will also be taking place this summer on August 24th at the Museums at Lisle Station Park. Tickets are available to purchase. There are sponsorship opportunities for you to market your business to the community by sponsoring the event. You can check the Chamber website or contact the Chamber office for more information on these events or any Chamber event as well as sponsorship opportunities for upcoming events.
I hope you all enjoy this summer season, and you are able to take advantage of the many fun activities Lisle has to offer!

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
Debbie Pawlowicz
DPG Real Estate
Debbie Pawlowicz of -DPG- Real Estate is this month's featured Ambassador. She has been involved with the Chamber for almost 7 years. In addition to being on the Ambassador Committee, Debbie is on the Chamber Board of Directors as well as Chair of the Government Affairs Committee. She is also the past Chair of the LINCT Committee. Debbie enjoys everyone on the Ambassador committee and how it helps members connect with the benefits of belonging to our Chamber. It also helps her stay connected and up to date on what businesses are in the area, whether new or existing.
Debbie is the Broker/Owner of -DPG- Real Estate which is located on Main Street in Lisle. She has worked as a successful area realtor since 1985. Aside from helping her clients sell, buy, rent residential and light commercial properties, Debbie manages their $50+ million volume business and empower their agents to achieve success while having fun. This year she is also completely renovating DPG Real Estate's new home at 4742 Main St. as well as recruiting additional successful agents. Come join their fun.
Debbie is a long-time resident of Lisle with her husband Steve. They raised their four children here in Lisle who now live all over the world. At this point: Jakarta, Indonesia; Indiana; Texas and Downers Grove. Cherished time with family and her five (almost six) adorable grandchildren or any time with friends puts a smile on Debbie's face. She also enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, movies, reading and volunteering. Her favorite quote is by Columnist Amy Dickinson,"We are not our best intentions. We are what we do." Debbie believes if something is truly important to you, you will make it happen. There are no excuses. Recognize that our true selves are reflected in what we actually do rather than what we merely plan or hope to do.

Free distemper vaccines and microchips for eligible pets
Spay Illinois Pet Well Clinics is offering free distemper vaccines and microchips at their Lisle Wellness Clinic, 2765 Maple Avenue, in Lisle through June 30, 2024. This offer is available to seniors 62+, veterans, and persons receiving unemployment, social security benefits, or LINK/EBT (food stamps). These eligible individuals can book appointments now to have their cats and dogs vaccinated for free against distemper, plus they will receive a free microchip with registration.
Vaccine-only appointments do not have an appointment fee. Appointments are needed and can be made by calling 630-961-8000. More information can be found at SpayIllinois.org. Check the 211 Events calendar for other vaccine and microchip special events being held this summer.

Many amazing scholarship applications were submitted this year and the Scholarship Committee had hard decisions to make. I am so glad that I don’t have to choose. Every year the students that submit scholarship applications are outstanding. Congratulations to our scholarship winners, Ryane Harris, Lisle High School, Nathan Herer, Lisle High School and Sophia Gastolek, Benet Academy. Thank you to our dedicated Scholarship Committee, Chair, Tom Reif, The Alera Group, Denise Petty, St. Joan of Arc, Peter James, College of DuPage, and Jon Pratscher, Lisle Park District.
Do you like to golf? The Annual Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing will be at Seven Bridges Golf Club on July 16, 2024 with a 1:00pm shotgun start. There are still sponsorship opportunities available. Make sure and get your golfer registrations in before the rates go up July 1st. CLICK HERE for more information and register to golf.
Save the Date for Lisle Area Chamber’s Lisle Uncorked, A Wine Event on August 24th at the Museums at Lisle Station Park from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. VIP tickets are available to purchase on EventBrite. Wine tastes are provided by SavWay Wine & Spirits and beer tastes will be provided by BubbleHouse Brewing Company. Also included with your ticket is a souvenir wine tasting glass, one free raffle ticket entry, and a free wine glass painting. There will be wines, beer, spirits, food, music, and fun!
