Our Be Curious posts have focused on heritage months, however, we think it’s important to learn more about Juneteenth, a celebration of the end of chattel slavery of Black people in the United States. This year, Juneteenth is Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

This year we invite you to be curious and go a little deeper into the heritage months we honor in the United States. This June is Pride Month.

According to Britannica.com (video), the month makes space, “to honor the struggle for equal rights by members of the LGBTQ+ community and to highlight the progress made."

Upcoming Closure: Week of July 1-5

Valley Outreach will be closed the week of July 1-5 to give our staff a week of rest and in observance of the July 4th Holiday. StyleXchange will be closed, too. We will re-open for donations, services, and store hours on Monday, July 8. Thank you for your understanding.
