"The No Sweat Couch Potato

Recovery Program" With Mike Schatzki

We are, so many of us, couch potatoes at heart. Sure, we would like to be fit, but it takes soooooo much time and effort. Except that it doesn’t. And so much of what we are told about fitness is flat out wrong.

• Get that heart rate up - NOT REQUIRED TO GET FIT.

• Sweat - RECOVERING COUCH POTATOES DO IT SWEATLESSLY

• Two hours in the gym 3 times a week

OH, PLEASE! You Can Breakthrough to Fitness Sweatlessly. We know that we should be fit, but is it really that important? Our lives are overwhelmingly busy. Can’t we just put it off until we have a little more time? Well, yes, Couch Potatoism is really, really bad for you. But recovering is so much easier than you have been told.

This breakthrough presentation, based on the latest research, will show you why fitness is so critically important to your life and how you really can get fit, even with the busiest of schedules. It will change your life and it could save your life.

Come and learn how easy it is to get fit sweatlessly with "The No Sweat Couch Potato Recovery Program."

Tired, sleepy during the day - you may have obstructive sleep apnea

Sleep disordered breathing and snoring increase the risk of daytime sleepiness, high blood pressure, heart arrhythmias, heart attack and stroke. “Apnea” means stop breathing and this occurs for short periods of time over and over during sleep. While the risk of sleep apnea is less for people who sing, play double reed instruments like oboes and bassoons most people with mild symptoms benefit from losing weight and sleep position changes.

A sleep study is used to diagnose and can be completed at a sleep lab or at home with a test prescribed by your doctor.

Most commonly, PAP positive air pressure machines and masks force air to keep the airway open. CPAP stands for continuous or steady pressure or there are BiPAP which there is more pressure when you inhale and less when you breathe out.

Dentists can make custom mandibular advancement devices to wear at bedtime. There is also a hypo glossal nerve stimulator surgery called Inspire that is currently advertised. After surgery an implanted device monitors breathing patterns and stimulates the nerve to move the tongue slightly forward. It can be adjusted on the remote to set the timer and the level of stimulation.

So many SRC members have life cycle events that they would like to share with their SRC friends. The newly formed Sunshine Club is intended to be a source of cheer and happiness among our SRC family.

If you have a special birthday (75, 80, 85, 90) coming up during 2024, please let us know - we would all like to celebrate it with you.

If you have a new grandchild or great-grandchild that was just born please let us know! If any of your grandchildren are graduating from high school or college - let us know what their future plans are. You can let Dee Yurkovic or Lisa, the Program Director know during exercise classes.

We also have a new email address specifically for good news! Click on the Yellow Button below if you would like to share it with us. We will include it in a special section in the monthly newsletter and you will receive a special card.

This will be ongoing so please send us your good news anytime! Email us at SunshineatSRC@gmail.com
