Leisha Is Back!!

We eagerly welcomed Leisha back from her 8-week sabbatical on May 28th, just in time for the very busy upcoming CYF summer! Leisha is such a gift to Our Saviour's CYF program and we can't wait to see what she has in store for the upcoming program year.

Please keep our children and youth in your prayers as they travel this month!

June 8-15: 10 middle schoolers and adults will travel to Kansas City, MO for a mission trip with Next Step Ministries.

June 22-29: 19 of our children and youth will be spending time out at Camp Wapo.

Graduate Gift Bags... Can You Help?

In the weeks leading up to graduation recognition, we will have gift bags for our grads in the rotunda at OSLC. The OSLC congregation is encouraged to fill them with cards, gift cards and small gifts. Each gift bag is labeled with the graduate’s name, picture and other information. You can place a gift in one bag or all. Then they will be presented to our graduates at Graduate Recognition on Sunday, June 16 during the worship services as they receive their blessing.

Ideas for gift bags: cards with words of encouragement, gift cards (Target, Starbucks, Fast Food, etc.), small gifts.

 Join us for a time of blessing, prayer, and the gift of a handmade quilt, a book specifically for high school graduates, and a special gift for post-high school graduates.

Graduates will be honored in both the 8:30am traditional and the 10:15am contemporary worship services at Our Saviour’s on June 16th, 2024.

In addition to in-worship blessings and gifts, we will be honoring our graduates with a Senior Spotlight on Our Saviour’s Facebook page leading up to graduation and also in a slideshow during worship.

Join us for Camp Firelight!

We are so excited for VBS this year!! Registration is open and we would love to have you join us, VBS is August 5th - 8th. We need volunteers as well.

Camp is fast approaching! Make sure to check your emails, Camp Health Forms have been sent and need to be completed two weeks before arrival at camp. If you haven't yet signed up, or were on the fence, it's not too late! There are still openings for Camp Wapo 2024. Scholarships are available. Please contact Lauren Gainey, CYF Administrative Assistant, at lgainey@oursaviourslc.org with any questions or to apply for a scholarship.

Children 1st grade and younger are welcome to join the CYF team for Kids' Time in the main gathering space after the children's message during worship. We will do a brief activity or game and then bring the children back into worship to find their parents before worship concludes.

Wednesdays, 6-7:30 p.m.

Confirmation is a time of great connection! Confirmation equips youth with the teachings of the Bible and faith so they can make an informed decision to live out their life of faith.

Register now for the 2024-2025 program year

for those in grades 6-8 in fall 2024.

$50 per student per year –

Cost includes: Bible upon starting confirmation, supplies, curriculum, retreats, Confirmation service in fall of 9th grade, and more! 

You can pay a few different ways:

-Online

-Cash (with note or envelope labeled with student’s name) or Check (made out to OSLC with “Confirmation” in the memo with the students name).

-Cash and checks can either be dropped off at Our Saviour’s in the “Children-Youth-Family” box on the wall behind the reception desk or mailed to: Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Attn: Lauren Gainey, 19001 Jackson St NE, East Bethel, MN 55011

-Scholarships are available upon request.

Lighthouse Registration

Lighthouse Ministries is Our Saviour’s Senior High Ministries. Lighthouse will hold, at minimal, monthly activities or events for 9th-12th graders. 

Lighthouse Ministries seeks to connect senior high youth to their peers and caring adults in a safe environment where they can ask questions and wonder. A place to grow in and practice their faith no matter where their personal faith life is at; to create memories and continue to explore what it means to live out their faith in every aspect of life.
