June 2024

We're half way through the year! Have you fulfilled your volunteering goals, yet?

Worry not! Community Thread's Volunteer Center has you covered!

With a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at Community Thread and with other local nonprofits, you can achieve your volunteering goals. It is simple and easy. By using Community Thread's volunteer management software, Get Connected, you can have new volunteering opportunities right at your fingertips.

Here are four easy steps to get involved:

  1. Download the Causer: Get Connected App (Apple users, download here; Android users, download here) or visit CommunityThreadConnect.org (click here).
  2. Create an account or login. Think you have an account but don't remember your password or username? Reach out to Kate Caffrey, Volunteer Engagement Director, for assistance, by emailing Kate@CommunityThreadMN.org.
  3. Browse the opportunity listings or find a nonprofit that you want to help!
  4. Sign up for a volunteering shift and make a difference in the community.

If you have questions or need some help, please contact Kate for assistance. She would be happy to meet with you.

Thank you for helping us create a community where all people are engaged, enriched and connected. YOU make the difference!

Get Cooking: Cool in the Cabana

Join Judy King in the kitchen for our Cool in the Cabana cooking class! We will be making a delicious Warm Farro Salad with Spring vegetables. This is a variation of a grain salad based recipe. This simple warm farro salad features the flavors of spring. Asparagus, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, and dill with creamy feta make a perfectly fresh combination.

CLASS UPDATE: We have added a SECOND Cool in the Cabana class as our kitchen was getting a bit cramped. This popular class will now have TWO dates on the calendar per month, as long as there's interest. When you sign up, please specify which date you'd like to attend.

CLASS ADDED: Tuesday, June 18

Time: 10am

Location: Community Thread, Stillwater

Cost: FREE for Thrive Enrich and Connect members and $5 for intro/non-members.
