Celebrating Diversity:

Global Seed Savers' June Updates

Our Roots Are Stronger When Woven Together! Just as organic farming nurtures the Earth, we recognize the importance of cultivating acceptance and respect for all. By preserving biodiversity, we honor the richness of nature's tapestry and acknowledge that every seed, like every individual, deserves a chance to flourish. Let us celebrate the intersection of PRIDE, organic farming, and the preservation of biodiversity, as we cultivate a world where community, compassion, and diversity are the seeds that bloom into sustainability, seed sovereignty, and climate resilience for our partner farmers who fall under their caring umbrella.

Taking a moment to spotlight and honor one of our amazing and enthusiastic staff members, Efren Cabbigat, who oversees our on-the-ground program work in the Philippines

"One of GSSP's important values is inclusion. While I'm especially happy that this value is practiced and expressed from the get-go— this is mentioned in the advertisement for hiring and further indicated in the employee handbook— it is important that we become evident to committing to inclusion by showing support to campaigns and movements that promotes inclusion such as Pride Month. This is a manifestation to values that we hold dear.

By doing this, we are encouraging our partners and the people within our circle of influence to do the same— to celebrate diversity. Most importantly, we are sending a message to our team, those who identify in the LGBTQIA+ community that we support and celebrate them."

A Marathon of Generosity: Thank You for Planting Seeds of Change!

High fives and heartfelt cheers to Mike Wright, who sprinted past all expectations during his recent marathon fundraiser! We're thrilled to announce that his incredible efforts raised $650 to support our mission of food and seed sovereignty. We can't express our gratitude enough for Mike’s boundless energy, unwavering commitment, and the contagious enthusiasm he brought to the track.
