The final ballot is selected by the nominating committee working on behalf of our Board of Directors.

Nichole Fisher Johanson has been working with her family company since 2005. She was just a baby when her grandfather Mel Fisher made history by discovering a $450 million dollar shipwreck.
Mel Fisher was a dreamer, a visionary, a legend, and most importantly The World’s Greatest Treasure Hunter. He started right here on the Treasure Coast salvaging the 1715 Fleet Shipwrecks in the 1960’s. In 1985, after a 16-year search for the “Nuestra Senora De Atocha” his perseverance finally paid off and his dreams became a reality when he discovered the treasure cache of the “Atocha’s Mother Lode.” This 1622 wreck contained more than forty tons of gold, silver, and copper.
We encourage everyone to visit the local Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum in Sebastian. If you haven’t been yet, then “Today’s the Day!” When you enter the museum, you will witness a spectacular collection of Spanish artifacts. There is a little bit of everything, from rigging, weaponry, and everyday life artifacts to some of the most unique items you will ever see as well as glistening gold and silver jewelry. The Gift Shop affords you the distinct opportunity to own an authentic “piece of history.” There are one-of-a-kind gold escudos and silver Pieces of Eight mounted in fine jewelry settings, museum quality re-creations as well as other nautical gifts.

Mischka Hylton-Maxwell has lived in Brevard and Indian River counties over the past 20 years. She is a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology and a member of the Grant-Valkaria Trail and Greenways Committee. She enjoys spending time with her family and boating on the Indian River and out to the Sebastian Inlet. She has a wonderful husband and a 12-year-old son who love fishing and being in/on the water.
In 2018, she joined Sebastian Realty Inc., as a Realtor and became a Broker Associate in 2021. She is proud to work with Sebastian Realty, a family owned company dedicated to the growth of their agents, providing real estate services to the community since 1975. Mischka enjoys meeting and working with people and she is ready to assist you with your real estate needs, especially property management.
