President's Message,

Dave Wegge

The Bay Area Community Council (BACC) is currently conducting research to assess how community leaders perceive the BACC and to identify key issues facing the greater Green Bay area.

Community leaders participating in several BACC discussion groups identify two major challenges facing the future of our community: 1) workforce development and 2) the growing diversity of our population. The BACC also conducted a survey of community leaders in business, nonprofits, government, and education. Among other things, the survey asked leaders how much of a factor a series of challenges will be in shaping the future of the greater Green Bay area and how well prepared we are in meeting these challenges. The insights from the discussion groups and the survey demonstrate consensus on these two challenges.

BACC welcomes Jeff House to Board of Directors

Jeff House is President and CEO of Oneida ESC Group LLC. The Oneida ESC Group is a family of companies, owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, that delivers customer-focused engineering, science, and construction services worldwide.

Jeff began his career with the Oneida Nation in 1992, Assistant Marketing Director of Oneida Bingo and Casino. Jeff moved to the position of Marketing Director for the Oneida Nation shortly thereafter and became the Communication Director in 1994, a position he held until 2000. As Communication Director, he managed the communication initiative for all Wisconsin tribes for the compact renewal negotiations, assisted in the creation of Native Wisconsin tourism (known today as NATOW) and countless promotions and communication projects that promoted the Oneida Nation to the world.

Jeff started a financial planning and investment business in 2000. In 2016, he sold his business and stepped down from the Oneida Total Integrated Enterprise (OTIE) Board of Managers as part of a succession plan for the retiring OTIE CEO.

Jeff has been involved in several corporate boards and committees, including Bay Bank Corporation, Oneida Nation Electronics, OTIE and Oneida ESC Group.

Jeff has served on several volunteer boards, including Brown County United Way, Reggie White’s Urban Hope, Oneida Youth Leadership institute and the Green Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Jeff is a graduate of Premontre High School and University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. He is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation and is married with two daughters.
