The "Take A Hint" Challenge
|
|
This June, the Wellness Program is offering a four week healthy habits program, the Take a Hint Challenge. Each week, you will be sent three healthy, and quite manageable habits to try to incorporate into your lifestyle. The goal is to try at least two of the habits each week. This program, created by our insurance partners at Anthem, is open to all faculty and staff. To register, just email Mary Ann and write, "Take a Hint" in the Subject line. Take a Hint, and get healthier with the Wellness Program!

Farmer's Market is Back Today!!!

The North Union Farmers Market opens today at 10:30 AM. The market, which is held on the UH side of Adelbert Road, across from Millis Hall will take place every Thursday, through September 21. Make your dinner plate colorful this summer with fresh local produce!

In June, the Wellness Program observes Men's Health Month. During this annual observance, the goal is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. The Wellness Program is your resource for information about: 1. Resources from Weight Watchers (Don't be shy, plenty of guys enroll!) 2. Prostate Health Information 3. Colon Cancer Facts 4. The Relax Line to help decrease stress and lower blood pressure 5. Anthem and Medical Mutual resources.

TIAA and Vanguard Team up for an 8-week Series
On Thursdays this summer, improve your Fiscal Fitness. This
series offers specific classes for new savers, women and those closer to retirement age. Attend the whole series to earn the Financial Wellness Program Incentive or choose to attend only those classes most relevant to you. Class topics are on the
Wellness Website.In addition to in-person classes, both TIAA and Vanguard offer webinars that you can attend in lieu of or in addition to the in-person classes. See links on the

Join the First
Rapid Workout Group!
Rapid Workout is a 30-35 minute weekly circuit style fitness class. Participants will be challenged with a variety of body weight, band and medicine ball exercises. In addition, they will be taught how to build their own workouts for other days. Not for those new to exercise, all those who participate must be able to move easily from standing to lying to standing. Please bring your own workout mat.
