Rockport Art Festival

July 6 - 7, 2024


Since 1969, the Rockport Art Festival has become one of the largest and most celebrated annual art events in the U.S. with an estimated 10,000 attendees and more than 120 juried artists from across the country participating each year.

Art Fest hours are July 6 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and July 7 from 10 a.m.– 5 p.m., on the Festival Grounds at Rockport Harbor, located at 1500 E. Laurel, adjacent to Rockport Beach Park and Aransas Bay. Attendees can enjoy many other activities throughout the festival weekend, including a variety of food and drink options, live music inside an air-conditioned 14,000-square-foot tent, and a children’s activity tent featuring craft activities, face painting and live musical entertainment.

Tickets to the festival weekend are available online, in person at RCA before the event weekend, and on event days at the festival. Single-day festival tickets are priced at $10 per day for ages 13 and up (12 and under are free), with two-day festival VIP Passes available for $15 each, providing pre-opening access to the festival on both days starting at 9 a.m.

 



Patriotic Boat Parade

Wendell Family Fireworks

July 4, 2024

Celebrating together since 1965.

when the sun goes down, you will be able to see the fireworks from Little Bay and the surrounding area. If you are close to Little Bay or the beach, you will get to enjoy the fireworks. Be sure to bring you blankets and chairs.

Rockport-Fulton Market Days

Rockport-Fulton Market Days – Every 3rd Friday-Sunday of the month 9 am – 4 pm. Live music is played throughout the weekend. Peruse over 100 vendors, over a dozen food trucks/food vendors, seating under the shade for 48 people and you can bring your pets! Austin Street Art Walk

Every second Saturday of each month, from 10 am – 7pm. Austin Street Art Walk is presented by Rockport Center for the Arts, in partnership with local galleries, restaurants, and businesses located along Austin St. (over 30 participating businesses) Art Walk is a free, alfresco, walkable experience featuring an ever-changing mix of participants representing various art mediums such as paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography, textiles, as well as live music, artist demonstrations, food and more. For more information follow us at

Second Saturday in the District

The Rockport District hosts Second Saturday every month with live music and special themes to enjoy along with Artwalk, Farmers Market, Makers Market. RCAD is an arts and humanities organization that sponsors historic restoration, museum creation, public artwork, including sculptures and murals, musical and transportation history events. The Great Outdoors Scavenger Hunt (GOSH) 2024

Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine will take readers on a Texas-sized road with The Great Outdoor Scavenger Hunt (GOSH) The promotion kicks off 1st and will go through Labor Day. The summer

long contest will encourage our readers to explore all 268,597 square miles in Texas in pursuit of family fun, silly selfies and their Texas summer ever. Their adventures and selfie pic will be posted on social media channels with the hashtag #GOSH2024. The Rockport Beach is the Rockport location. This promotion receives social media support and state-wide press. Participants who complete GOSH will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of the Buc-ee gift cards. The first person or team to complete every scavenger hunt challenge will win a yeti Tandra 65 cooler.

The History Center for Aransas County

July 11, 5pm - 6:30pm - Opening new exhibit - "From Sketch to Seaworthy: The Legendary Farley Boats of Texas. The Texas Maritime Museum and Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association (PAPHA) present the story of the boats that revolutionized tarpon fishing in the mid- 1900s. Frankie Cabera from the Farley Boatworks will relate the latest in local boat building, Jim Moloney, author and publisher, will sign his recent book, The Tarpon Club.

In the current exhibit "Festival Tapestry", visitors will explore will interwoven stories, traditions, and vibrant moments that have shaped Rockport -Fulton's festival scene over the years. Each festival becomes a unique thread, contributing to the rich and colorful tapestry of our region's history.

The Rockport Railroad Depot Museum & Cultural Arts District.

The Rockport Cultural Arts District has restored and repurposed the historic Rockport, San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad Depot to a unique Railroad Museum. Come and enjoy the newly renovated Railroad Depot and ride the Passenger Train. The Museum is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1pm - 4pm. Rockport Cultural Arts District has a new program called Passport to Aransas County's Rich and Vibrant History. Your adventure begins with 4 exciting venues to explore.

Visit The Fulton Mansion, Texas Maritime Museum, Rockport Railroad Depot, and the History Center for Aransas County. At each venue scan the QR Code and fill out your passport digitally and complete the challenge. Each of the participating venues offers a unique learning and exploring experience. Goose Island State Park

There is a 1,620 ft. fishing pier, Bayfront campsites, boat ramp, birding areas, hiking trail, and picnic area. While at Goose Island, be sure to visit one of the most famous live oaks in the world, the "Big Tree," estimated to be centuries old - In 1969 it was named the State Champion Coast Live Oak. Memorial Park

Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park. Consisting of more than 100 acres, the Park includes 1.65 miles of Hike and Bike trails and a 3/4-mile nature trail with interpretive signs, and rest benches. Soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, off-leash dog parks, playscapes and fitness stations, birding sites, and picnic facilities serve a wide variety of interests throughout the year.
