RIVERWEST 24

MPA was thrilled to join in on the Riverwest 24 fun this year! Thank you to everyone who came out to paint our mural, cheer on the racers, and chat about preservation.

While things around the tavern may seem quiet, we're diligently working away on stabilization plans with with Beane Engineering and Berglund Construction!

Want to keep informed as the Tavern Project unfolds? We’ll post updates as often as they happen on our website!

ADVOCACY

Growing MKE

MPA is happy to see the dedication to preservation listed in Sections I and IV of the updated Growing MKE plan. We understand the plan as a whole needs to spend more time in the community, but fully support the intent and commitment to preserving Milwaukee's historic fabric.

Villa Terrace

We are aware an RFI has gone out from the county for Villa Terrace and fully intend to stay involved as the situation unfolds. We support the Friends of Villa Terrace and want to see the site continue to be a public landmark to art, history and architecture.

Reminder: Lots of behind-the-scenes work is happening at MPA!

We've been working hard behind the scenes to better serve our membership and the community. Some things we've been working on:

  • A new, improved website
  • Brand new donor-tracking software
  • Internal programming and development plans to focus more on education and outreach
  • Strategic planning to help guide the organization into the future.

We thank you for your continued support and assure you, even when things are a little quiet, we’re working hard to make preservation mainstream in Milwaukee!
