Dear BABC OC Members and Friends,

We hope you enjoyed a safe and happy 4th of July weekend. As we step into the summer months, when you're not off enjoying a holiday, we invite you to continue to connect at our summer mixers on the First Thursday of each month. Coming up on Thursday this week we will collaborate with the German American Business Association for a summer mixer at the fabulous Descanso Restaurant. Don't forget to register!

Looking back at these past few months, we hosted some wonderful events to help bring us all back together. In April we enjoyed an special evening showcasing business in the British Midlands. Thank you to Carlo Cavagna and the team at the British Consulate LA for co-hosting and thank you to new BABC OC member Paul Butler for his insight into his hometown region.
We were pleased to be a part of the 2nd annual U.S-UK Virtual Trade Expo in April hosted by BAB.
May was a busy month with a networking event co-hosted with our friends at the Iranian American Chamber and GABA. May 19th saw the return of the 32nd Annual BABC OC Golf Tournament, which raised funds to support our Scholarship Program (more information on the Scholarship recipients below) and First Tee Orange County. We are happy to report we had the most golfers ever at 120! Thanks to all our sponsors and players!
Most recently, we celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in the beautiful garden at the Ave of the Arts Hotel with an absolutely smashing "Great British Bake Off". Congrats to our Star Baker, Jennifer Timm who won over the judges with her summer pavlova. It was wonderful to have Emily Cloke and Carlo Cavagna from the British Consulate in LA make a special toast to The Queen. A huge thanks to our bake off judges, Pam and Sue from Pamela's Tea Room and to Kieron of The Macallan and Dean of Grassini Family Vineyards for an amazing whisky and wine tasting. Thanks also to Shop Cadeaux for donating the beautiful Star Baker prize basket. We are excited to make the Bake Off and fun annual event!

I was happy to participate in the BABN workshop on June 15th-17th perfectly hosted by Tamra Eker and the BABN staff in NYC. The executive directors from across the network enjoyed some very informative workshops to help us continue to deliver quality content to our members.
We wrapped up June with our AGM and Member Appreciation Reception on June 22nd where guests caught up and reflected on the activities of this past year in the beautiful setting of the Newport Beach Yacht Club.

We have much to look forward to in the months ahead. Whilst we research more B2B events such as panel breakfasts, lunch with leaders, and roundtable discussions, we already have a full calendar ahead. We're happy to announce the return of the 2nd Annual Best of British Brands Event on September 22nd. If you represent a British Brand or business and would like to participate in this wonderful promotional showcase of all things British, please contact Jacquie@babcoc.org.

SAVE THE DATE! Friday, December 2nd, 2022 at the Westin South Coast Plaza - Annual BABC OC Christmas Luncheon. Tickets and tables will go on sale soon. To express your early interest in reserving a table, please contact jacquie@babcoc.org. Lastly, many thanks to those of you that have renewed membership and a big welcome to our new members. We appreciate your continued support of the BABC Orange County.
