Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival 2023
The Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival is an annual celebration of the region's blue, pink, and white signature flowers and everything gardens on Cape Cod! This ten-day festival will be held July 7-July 16, 2023.
Highlights include daily tours of private gardens, each designed and maintained by the individual homeowners and carrying a unique charm.
You are sure to enjoy such eclectic spaces, not to mention the good feeling of supporting many non-profits, including Whelden Library.
There will be a $5 entrance fee per person per garden.
Find the gardens that are supporting Whelden Library, visit our event page: wheldenlibrary.org/events

So You Want to Donate Books to the Library
If you would like to donate material to the library, we're happy to take your donation.
If it's just a bag or two, come in anytime we're open, we're happen to take a look at them.
More than that? Give us a call to set up a time to drop off or stop by with your donation on booksale day and our volunteers will be there to help.
Can't Come in when we're open or on booksale day?
Please don't leave donations outside. It's not very nice. If they get wet or damaged, we have to dispose of them and they create an obstacle for others trying to get in and out of the building.
Consider taking your donation to another CLAMS library or second hand shop.
If you're concerned that the condition of your items will keep them off the shelves, take them to the transfer station for recycling.
Thank you for supporting the library!

The Whelden Library Redeemable Shed
Open 24/7 Recycle your redeemables and make a donation to your library.
Donating is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Bag up your clean, redeemable cans and plastic bottles!
- Drop them off at the recycling shed in the library parking lot.
- Congratulate yourself on a job well done!
What we can't take:
- glass
- water bottles (unless canned/bubble/seltzer)
- most ciders, teas, and juices
Please be mindful that this is meant as a fundraiser for the library and not a recycling service. Non-redeemables dropped of at the shed adds an expense for the library for disposal.
Check the tops and sides of the cans for the MA designation stamp before donating!
