Initial Deposit of $200 per person is due at the time of reservation
2nd Deposit of $500 per person is due by November 21, 2024

Emergency Evacuation Procedures
For your safety and the safety of others, should it become necessary to evacuate the building, please do the following:
- Stay calm and exit the building as quickly as possible through the nearest exit.
- There are marked emergency exits throughout the building. Please take note of the emergency exit nearest your location.
- Do not run. Do not stop to gather personal belongings.
- Assist any individual that may need assistance in evacuating.

Proceed to the emergency assembly point, which is the corner of the parking lot on Odenton Road side for the Main Building and for the Annex it is located behind the dumpster in the back corner of the parking lot.
- Check in with the designated staff member at the assembly point and follow all instructions given by authorized personnel.
- Do not re-enter the building for any reason until notified by designated staff or emergency personnel that it is safe to go back into the building.

Reflexology

Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas of the feet to generally relax and alleviate stress. The theory behind reflexology is that certain areas of the foot correspond to the organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.
*Please note the weight limit for the reflexology chair is 250 lbs.*

Come and chat with a representative from the AACO Public Library.
There will be some giveaways, flyers, reading lists, and you can chat with the librarians about what you enjoy reading and they can offer reading recommendations.
They can also assist with the Libby (E-Reader) app and/or advise on downloading E-books and E-audio to their devices.

Mindful Moments-Grief
Monday, July 15th, 1:30PM
Join a representative from the Department of Aging & Disabilities in this monthly opportunity to engage with others around mental wellness and discuss mental health, the brain, and related tips and resources.
For the month of July, the Mindful Moments topic will be grief. Feelings of grief can come with any kind of loss--losing loved ones and friends, moving, retiring, health concerns, loss of independence, etc. In this safe space we will explore topics related to grief and how to cope it. We will do so with special guest, Beth Mucciacciarro, who oversees the grief programs at the Dept. of Aging and Disabilities.

Pet Rock Performance & Lunch

The Nutrition Program policy is that participants under 60 years of age are to pay for the cost of the meal ($15; please have exact change). Participants 60 & over are encourages to make a donation toward the meal.
Please note: Meal participants must be present by no later than 12:15pm in order to receive their meal. After 12:15pm, the meal will be forfeited.

Center Services & Information | |
Membership
Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Centers offer free memberships to individuals 55 years of age and older and self-sufficient. Membership is free. Spouses of any age are welcome when accompanying someone 55 or older. For more information, visit your local senior activity center to obtain orientation materials and take a tour. Anyone needing some individual assistance in the senior activity center should contact the Senior Center Plus Program at 410-222-4257 for resources and options.
Flea Market
We have a flea market open daily; run by volunteers. Donated items are always accepted at the Front Office. All proceeds benefit OSI.
Books
We sell books! Paperbacks are $0.50 and Hardbacks are $1.00. Feel free to stop by anytime and browse.
Snack Cart
Snacks, water, and sodas are available through our snack bar.
Lunch Program
Meals are served at the Center, Monday-Friday at noon. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance, in person. Cancellations are required by 10:00AM the day before the meal is served, and must be called in at (410) 222-6223 between the hours of 9:00am-1:00pm. In an effort to support the ongoing and future work of the Congregate Meal Program, voluntary donations are encouraged, if one is able. No eligible person will be denied a meal if unable to donate. Each congregate meal costs $5.25.
Anne Arundel County Office of Transportation
Provides rides to seniors 55+ and individuals with disabilities to senior activity centers, nutrition sites, medical appointments, and for other needs. Wheelchair vans are available. Advance reservations of one to two weeks are required. To schedule transportation, call (410) 222-0022.
Wi-Fi Service
There is free Wi-Fi service available in the Center. Look for "Guest@Anne" on your mobile device. No password needed.
SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program)
A representative from the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is available to answer your questions regarding Medicare Part D Open Enrollment, Medicare & Medicaid eligibility, long term care insurance, supplemental health insurance, medical claims management, and more. Call (410) 222-4257 to make an appointment.
Notary Public
A notary public is generally available during regular business hours. Please contact the Center at (410) 222-6227, in advance to make an appointment for notary services. There is no fee for this service, however, donations are accepted.
Maryland Access Point (MAP)
This service is provided by Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. MAP is the "one stop shop" for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers to both private and public resources. An Options Counselor is available to help you access resources.
