A Message from the Mayor

Tonight’s Concert in the Park featuring Who Made Who – Tribute to AC/DC at North Thornhill Community Centre has been postponed to Wednesday, Aug. 7 due to Environment Canada’s rainfall warning.


We hope that you will join us for our next Concert in the Park on July 17 at 7:30pm for Disco Fever – Tribute to Bee Gees, Donna Summer, ABBA, Diana Ross, KC and The Sunshine, Kool and The Gang, Gloria Gaynor and more at Chancellor District Park.

I am thrilled that Vaughan will soon be home to a state-of-the-art performing and cultural arts centre – and the signing ceremony represents the next step in this historic journey. This initiative represents a significant investment in our city’s cultural vitality and economic prosperity. The new venue will be a cornerstone of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and reflects our commitment to embracing the arts as a catalyst for both personal and economic growth. Our city is a launchpad for the creative industries and our state-of-the-art performing and cultural arts centre will help us strengthen our incredible local talent and spur the growth of our creative economy. I want to thank QuadReal for their continued leadership and investment in Vaughan and look forward to working with them to raise the curtain on this incredible new facility.

The City of Vaughan kicked off Concerts in the Park with Taylor’s Story – Tribute to Taylor Swift. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the live music!

The City of Vaughan officially opened the first phase of Edgeley Park in the VMC. This new Ward 4 park is located in Vaughan’s downtown core at 300 Maplecrete Rd. and is the first public park to open in the VMC.
