My outward silence is not a spiritual exercise; it has been undertaken and maintained solely for the good of the world. God has been everlastingly working in silence, unobserved, unheard — except by those who experience His infinite silence. - Meher Baba

Happy Silence Day from

Meher Baba’s Heartland Center!

We hope this finds you all well and thriving in Beloved Baba’s embrace.

This July 10th marks 99 years since Meher Baba began his silence in 1925. Wherever you are, we hope this Silence Day helps us all become ever more receptive to His mighty voice within.

Website News

For the past few months, we’ve been working to create a more expansive, inviting, and informative website. Although it’s not quite finished, you’re invited to browse the changes at ambheartlandcenter.org.

You’ll find updates to our Home, Visit, and Heartland Memorial Initiative pages. We’ve also just recently revamped our Donate page.

Donations in general, bequests in particular!

The Heartland Center was formed with the goal of one day being able to purchase the sacred sites associated with Meher Baba’s momentous 1952 auto accident near Prague, Oklahoma. The Center’s vision has always been to provide permanent access to the place where the Avatar shed His blood on American soil as well as to the Prague Regional Memorial Hospital where He, Mehera, and other mandali were treated for 12 days. Since we learned the hospital may come up for sale in the next few years, we have stepped up our fundraising efforts.

The Original Prague Clinic and Hospital circa 1952

Baba has said that the universal work He performed during that period would result in “benefit to the whole world.”  We believe it is our sacred privilege as His lovers to help preserve the legacy of that work in Oklahoma.

With this in mind, please take a moment to explore our new Donate page and the various ways to help the Heartland Center acquire, preserve, and memorialize the sacred sites of Prague as a place of world pilgrimage. Any offering from the heart, large or small, will move our efforts forward.

On the updated page you will find a

simplified way to direct your gift to either the Heartland Center’s general fund or the Heartland Memorial Initiative, which is specifically dedicated to the acquisition of the sacred sites.

You can make a one-time donation or become a sustaining monthly donor!  You’re also able to pledge a sum that will only be honored when the hospital or properties adjoining the accident site become available for purchase.

Bequests can also play a vital role in securing the Heartland Center’s future. On the website, we’ve included a downloadable pamphlet with specific information about the various types of bequests that can be made. These gifts will provide the foundation for the long-term financial well-being of the Heartland Center through endowments, managed investments, and other careful stewardship.

These resources will not only allow for continued operations but also the acquisition and development of the sacred sites.  In this way, these sites will be available for all in perpetuity.

Bing Heckman, a member of the Heartland Memorial Initiative, is readily available to talk over any questions you might have about the process of leaving a bequest.  He can be reached at bing@bheckman.com

Coming Up...

On July 19th, Ron Festine will host a remarkable fundraiser for the Heartland Center. He intends to repeat Baba’s name 100,000 times in one day.

Inspired by Baba’s mandali Kaikobad who repeated Baba’s name 100,000 times daily for many years, Ron hopes his extraordinary effort will inspire you on July 19th to donate and help purchase the sacred sites in and around Prague.

“Let's make this a global effort and inspire Baba lovers worldwide to join in this incredibly meaningful cause!” says Ron. “When these properties become available for purchase it is imperative the funds are on hand to ensure these sacred sites are preserved for generations to come. We can help!!!”

Please click here for a flier and more details.

Thank you Ron!

Ongoing…

Members of the Heartland Memorial Initiative have also been busy with outreach and education.

We’ve made presentations about our ongoing work and the vital need to acquire and preserve the sacred sites in and around Prague. So far, these have been done at Meherabad, the Southeast Gathering, Meherana, and most recently, the LA Sahavas.

On August 3rd, the Asheville area will be treated to one as well. If you’re interested in attending or learning more about the Asheville presentation please contact alisagenovese@gmail.com

And if you’d like to have an inspiring presentation in your area or even a virtual one, we’re happy to help!  Please get in touch with us at contact@ambheartlandcenter.org.

Lastly, if you haven’t yet been to the Heartland Center, don’t hesitate to make your plans!

All of the travel information you might need can be found on our website’s Visit page.

We look forward to welcoming you!
