Celebrating the New Oz Park Playground!

On July 22, we were so happy to be there when the ribbon was cut on the new Dorothy’s Playground at Oz Park! Thank you so the Oz Park Advisory Council, Alderman Timmy Knudsen, State Representative Margaret Croke, Chicago Park District and all of the many others who helped make this happen!

Join Us for Ella Jenkins' 100th Birthday Party

On Sunday, August 4 at 12:30 p.m., join us in celebrating the legendary children’s folk singer Ella Jenkins’ and honoring her 100th Birthday at Ella Jenkins Park (333 W. Wisconsin at Sedgwick). A leading performer of children’s music for over fifty years, Ella Jenkins has been honored by the DuSable Museum of African American History. Affectionately named “The First Lady of the Children’s Folk Songs,” Ella was a recipient of the 2004 GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award and has been recognized by many other prestigious arts and culture organizations.


A family-friendly event, there will be music, birthday treats, giveaways, and activities for kids. Sponsored by the Old Town Triangle Association, Church of the Three Crosses, Lincoln Central Association, and Tim Ferrin.

Help Us Improve Safety by Taking LCA's 2024 Public Safety Survey

In an effort to improve neighborhood safety, Lincoln Central Association is conducting a safety survey! Please take this 5-minute survey to share your thoughts on what local safety issues concern you the most.

Movies in Bauler & Oz Park

Finish out the summer by bringing your family to movies in a local park!

 

On Thursday, September 19, Bauler Park will play Kung Fu Panda 4 at 6:30 p.m. The event will include a bouncy house and games from Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.

 

Oz Park has a great lineup of movies for the rest of the summer!

  • August 17 at 8 p.m.: Trouble with the Curve
  • August 24 at 8 p.m.: The Wizard of Oz
  • September 5 at7: 30 p.m.: The Bad Guys

Evening in the Garden – Sunday, September 15

Evening in the Garden celebrates the close of summer, our garden volunteers and the garden harvest. This garden party is used to honor the heart put into many neighborhood achievements including retiring police officers and especially the volunteers who make our neighborhood parks such special gathering places. The event includes food, wine and beverages from neighborhood restaurants and businesses. The event is free and open to the public.

 

Howler at Bauler – Saturday, October 26, 3 – 5 p.m.

Known as “The Haunt of the Neighborhood”, Howler at Bauler is held each year during Halloween weekend in Bauler Park. From the neighborhood firehouse bringing its truck, to the neighborhood fitness center staffing games, to our congressman, alderman and state representatives greeting the crowds, everyone puts their heart into making this a great neighborhood event. Howler at Bauler includes a bouncy house, costume parade, games, candy, a DJ to dance to and more to local neighborhood children and families.

This Saturday, July 27, LCA's partner Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is hosting it's annual Summerfest event! The event is for adults only (21+) and includes live music, lawn games, food and drink specials, and local vendors.
