4th of July message from Pastor Kellen:

Blessings to our church family as you enjoy the 4th of July. May God bless our land, leaders and nation as we celebrate our country's independence.

Let Freedom Ring – As the Sunday that falls closest to July 4, this week we’ll hear hymns and songs that celebrate freedom, including “Lift Every Voice for Freedom,” arranged by Moses Hogan, which masterfully combines “My Country 'Tis Of Thee" and "Lift Every Voice And Sing” for a dramatic composition that uplifts and inspires.

Sunday's Worship Service

40 Days

Sunday's message:

“Face the Siege”

Ezekiel 4:1-8

In the Bible, the number 40 appears on numerous occasions as a time of waiting, testing, or transformation. During this summer series, we will explore significant time periods marked by the number forty in the Scriptures and discover what God did with and for his people through those times. From Noah to Jesus, we will see how God moves and be invited to draw near to him.

10:30 a.m. Service

In case you missed

last week's worship,

Summer Choir

Summer choir is open to any and all who are available. We resume singing this month with a fun and added twist! During July, we will team up with the choir from our sister church, First Pres Glen Ellyn. FPGE will sing with us at FPW for our 10:30 a.m. service on July 7 and 21, and we will sing with them at FPGE for their 10:00 a.m. service on July 14 and 28. Rehearsal time will still be 9:00 a.m. Feel free to join us at FPW, FPGE, or both! To get more information about the music we'll be singing, please email Donté Ford.

School Supply Drive

We are praying that children will get off to a good start this school year, and you can help!

Please consider donating backpacks and school supplies to help children supported through People’s Resource Center and The Bridge of Chicago’s Mission:USA. This annual mission effort is such a blessing to many children who are in need during this time.

Financial Contributions: If you plan to contribute financially for this mission, please make your contribution by Friday, July 8. You can give online or by writing a check to First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton and designating "School Supply Drive” in the memo. This will allow our shoppers some time to purchase necessary supplies. Please contact the church office if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting the children this year!

Shopping: We have created online shopping lists on Amazon and Target. You are also welcome to shop at any store of your choice. A general supply list has also been created to help you with your purchases. You may ship backpacks and supplies directly to the church or drop off your contributions in the Rotunda. Donations may be received through July 15.
