Hello dear friends and clients,
Can you imagine being anywhere else this summer than in Montana? If you're not here yet, you must come. This is
truly one of the most beautiful places in our country. The summer been amazing
! Yes, busy, but in a good way.
So many people are buying homes and land here and I am happy to say that
many of them are
1st time home buyers.
I am smiling from ear to ear!
SakeToMe:
Another thing that makes me smile it the "famous" SakeToMe Sushi Restaurant in downtown Bigfork (my son Drake
Doepke is the owner) has re-opened. For the past few months, Drake and his team of artists and craftsman have been working day
and night on the remodel and they have outdone themselves. It's a gorgeous space to meet and share a meal with friends
and the sushi is over the top (even if you don't think you like sushi). The Flathead Beacon printed a great article on the restaurant transformation (
read it here
). Let's meet there soon and have some fun!
About the market:
According to
Kelly Market Trends, the median home price in the area right around Kalispell is $212,500 this year,
compared to $203,500 for the same period in 2015. This represents a 4.3 percent increase. In Bigfork, Homesnap reports
median
price of $459,500 in the latest reporting period for mid-July - up from $430,000 (higher due to an inventory of properties with a greater sales price).
The good news
for buyers is that we have quite a bit of inventory on the market.
I always encourage my sellers to price their property
competitively. On that note, I would be happy to meet with you, go over the sold properties in your area, and help you find a price that makes
