JULY NEWS
We are so happy to see everyone's smiling faces back in the studio in our pole, fitness and aerial classes. Our efforts of social distancing and every student using their own piece of equipment have been working out wonderfully, and we gratefully appreciate everyone's efforts to help us stay safe and healthy during this time.

We have a few different aerial apparatuses available for rental for the July 15 - August 15th rental period. Please email Jessica at soraaerialarts@gmail.com for equipment rental inquiries!

We will continue with our Phase 1 procedures through August, with each student using their own aerial apparatus and instructors abstaining from spotting at this time.
Since instructors are continuing to abstain from spotting students at this time, all of our Intro Classes for Aerial (silks, lyra, trapeze, etc.) are being put on hold. If you're interested in taking an Intro Class for silks, lyra or trapeze, please email manager@soraaerialarts.com to get added to our waitlist for when we can offer Intro classes again!

We are still offering Intro to Pole at this time, as this class does not require any spotting. Register for Intro to Pole I & II in Mindbody by clicking on the "Register for Classes" button above!

As a reminder, please continue to refrain from bringing in many personal items to class. Remember to bring your rosin sock, resistance band and apparatus to aerial class in a bag. Rented apparatuses will be kept at and maintained by Sora. Please be sure to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before coming into any of our studios. Hand sanitizer will be provided in-studio for use when needed.

Welcome to the
New Instructors
at Sora!
Amy Schultz - Pole

Amy has been training pole for 3.5 years and has been a dancer for 9 years. Amy started her pole journey at Sora and has put in her mentoring and teacher training hours with Karen King. Amy loves pole because it takes so much strength and grace, it's been the perfect way to both workout and get her dance fix :)

We are so happy to welcome Amy to the Sora Instructor Tribe!
Dominika Wielgus - Pole
Dominika came to Kentucky from Poland, her family country, in 2016. Her pole dancing adventure started in 2014. Dominika has been a competitive eventing horseback rider since she was 14 years old.
Her very first 2 years training pole, Dominika was coached by Agata Jarzębowska, World Pole Sport Champion 2017. Agata made Dominika fall in love with pole sport, the gymnastics branch of pole dancing discipline.
Domi's favorite aspect of pole dancing is the feeling of strength and breaking her own limitations. Learning and mastering dynamic tricks like flips, drops, power spins is something that "breaks her free" and gives her wings :)
In 2019- 2020 Domi spent 6 months in Europe and had a brilliant experience of being a student of a pole star Lisette Krol, her biggest pole inspiration. Also trainings with Michael Donohoe and Karol Surowiec brought her pole trainings to the next level.
She recently came back to Kentucky with her husband and their dog. Dominika is incredibly happy to teach at Sora and be a member of the amazing Sora family.
Kayla Talbott - Aerial Silks & Aerial Hoop

Raised in the foothills of Appalachia with a deep love of family, faith, and community. Like the Kentucky she adores, she is a bit wild and rough around the edges. Loves exploring the outdoors and running wild in nature. She moved to Lexington pursuing her dreams in science and found aerial arts while looking for motivation to finish her master's degree. It was love at first invert. Being in the air is where she feels most free and able to connect with herself and her surroundings. Her most recent obsession is flying trapeze! Kayla completed her aerial teacher trainings several years ago and is so excited to share her passion for aerial arts with the Sora Tribe!
Sierra Hatfield - Aerial Silks

Sierra is from Harlan County, KY and has been training on aerial silk at Sora for five years as of this month! She fell in love with silks after her very first class because she knew she wanted to fly high and perform to make people gasp, laugh, and cry. Her favorite roles to play are the bad guys, because bad guys are the most fun! Sierra completed Paper Doll Militia Teacher training and now she is ready to teach others and help them find their creative space.
