Retailer Notice!

Starting this summer, CDSS will be switching out magnetic stripe EBT cards for Chip EMV/Tap cards to fight the rise in skimming theft and similar fraud. EBT merchants will need to update their payment systems to keep accepting EBT benefits.

As CDSS teams up with local, state, and federal law enforcement to tackle third-party EBT theft, including SNAP (CalFresh), CalWORKs, and other food and cash aid, we need your help to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities from EBT skimming fraud.
