We had so much fun trying to break out of the escape rooms at Mission Escape on June 15th! Congratulations to Team #1, led by our Secretary Alyssa & Treasurer Tony, who were successful in breaking out of their spooky asylum-themed room.

Many congratulations to the Johns Hopkins University team who participated in the National-level finals of the Sustainable Solutions competition of ASCE! The team placed fifth overall at the competition held at University of Wisconsin-Platteville. This all-female team was the highest-scoring rookie team and they are ready to take home the big prize next year. We are so proud of our Maryland-based university, our Secretary Alyssa who mentored the students, and the ASCE Maryland Section Treasurer Rachel who was the Faculty Advisor for the students. We hope to see even more success from our universities at next year's ASCE Mid-Atlantic Student Symposium, and National Competition!

We want to wish a very big congratulations to our Board members Tony, Moses, and David, who recently passed the PE exam! Tony passed the Civil/Structures exam, Moses passed the Civil/Construction exam, and David passed the Civil/Geotechnical exam. We are very proud of them and all of their hard work!

Are you taking the PE exam soon? We offer a virtual PE prep panel at least once a year, to help future test-takers prepare for the exam. Our Board members Tony, Moses, and David, as well as a recent Civil/Water Resources and Civil/Transportation examinee will be sharing tips and tricks about the exam - soon! Look out for our event ad in the coming months. We hope to see you there!

The ASCE Committee on Younger Members (CYM) is hosting the YMLS at ASCE Headquarters in August! Registration is now open for this event, which will be from Friday, August 18th to Sunday, August 20th. The event is open to any ASCE member. Several of our Board members will be there!
