National Community Survey

Randomly selected households recently received an invitation to participate in the National Community Survey. Thank you to the hundreds that have responded! The survey is now open to everyone in the community, and will remain open until July 31. Learn more on the website.

Outdoor Watering Restrictions in Effect

Outdoor watering restrictions are in effect, to reduce the strain on water treatment operations during peak summer months. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, residents and businesses are asked to refrain from outdoor watering daily between 11 am - 5 pm. A green postcard with this information was mailed last month. Consumer Confidence Report

Each year the Village's Water Division issues a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which includes information about drinking water from the past year. Residents should have received the 2023 report by mail in early June. Recent CCRs, and other testing data, can be found on the website.

Wednesdays in Western Springs

Visit the French Market each Wednesday, from 4 - 7 pm in front of the Tower Green. The market offers a variety of fresh produce, meat, eggs, specialty foods (coffee, olive oil), jewelry, handcrafted items, food trucks, and baked goods. In July, the market will coincide with the Western Springs Business Association's Jammin' in July concert series. Grab a picnic blanket and enjoy dinner and live music on the Tower Green, each Wednesday in July. Details are available from WSBA and on the Village's website.

Name A Plow - Vote today!

During the Touch-a-Truck event, residents were invited to submit their favorite names for the Village's newest Peterbilt snowplow. The top five (5) names were selected, and now it's time to choose. To cast your vote, please visit the website and scan the QR code, or click on the link. Voting will remain open until July 31.The winning name will be announced in the September/October issue of Tower Topics newsletter.

Active Adult Trips

The Recreation Department is now offering Active Adult Trips for those aged 55 and up. Planned trips include an August outing to the Grant Park Orchestra, a trip to the Chicago Botanic Garden in September and more! Information is on the website, and in the next issue of Tower Topics newsletter.

School Crossing Guards for Hire

The Department of Law Enforcement is seeking school crossing guards for the 2024/25 school year. This is a part-time, temporary position (August through early June), requiring approximately 30 minutes per crossing, per day.
