Excite. Elevate. Envision
Hello everyone!
I feel like we were waiting and waiting for summer to start, and, so quickly, it’s already slipping away. I know the summer can be a busy time for us all. We're juggling work, family, and social obligations, and it can be hard to find time for ourselves. But I want to remind you that you are strong, capable women, and you can do anything you set your minds to.
So don't be afraid to set some goals for yourself this summer. Maybe you want to learn a new skill, start a new project, or just spend more time with your loved ones. Whatever your goals are, I know you can achieve them. Even with our organization, we have been able to accomplish so much this year!
Here are some tips for staying motivated this summer:
- Set small, achievable goals.
- Break down large goals into smaller, more manageable steps.
- Reward yourself for your accomplishments.
- Find a supportive community of women (EWI!) to help you stay on track.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt
Best,

Listen to Jimi Okubanjo, the director and producer of the “Arise Firebird” documentary talk about workplace trauma in the corporate setting. She, and many others, have been affected by the traumatic experiences that take place in workplace settings that often go unnoticed, uncared for, or brushed away. In her talk “Understanding and supporting others with workplace trauma”, Jimi encourages us to learn more about trauma in the workplace and how to take action to help those who experience it.

Rockwell Automation
Caterer: Rockwell Automation
Our May EWI meeting was held at the offices of member firm, Rockwell Automation. Our speaker for the evening was Tessa Myers, Senior Vice President, Intelligent Devices, from Rockwell Automation. Tessa shared aspects of her 24-year career at Rockwell and how women are uniquely qualified as leaders. Following her presentation, we assembled welcome activity bags for new clients of Meta House. After our meeting, Lora Burback offered tours of Rockwell's Clock Tower. Everyone enjoyed the amazing views from that panoramic lookout!

Bucyrus Club
Caterer: Skyline Catering
Our June EWI meeting was one of our favorite meetings of the year, Firm Recognition Night. This year, we combined the evening with our Literacy Awards. The meeting was held at the beautiful Bucyrus Club. We were fortunate enough to have speakers from both of our Literacy Award winners: Heather Grams, President of Next Door Foundation, and Janita Bonner, Executive Administrator of YWCA. Members and guests bid on items donated by members or their firms. Money raised benefited our Scholarship Fund.
