A Message from Our VP of Student Life and Mission | | |
Dear Carondelet Families,
As we turn our calendars to August, we are eagerly anticipating the start of the new school year. Students have been back on campus this past week as incoming freshmen attended tech training and Student Council leaders participated in a media workshop. It was so good to hear the energetic student voices in the halls! We look forward to welcoming all students back in one short week. Student orientations are on August 14 (9th grade) and August 15th (10-12 grades). The first day of school is on Wednesday, August 16th. All information on these days and other important information for the start of school can be found on our website, the Beginning of the School Year page.
One upcoming event that I’d like to highlight is the first event in our Carondelet Speaker Series. On Thursday, September 14 in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation, award-winning photographer and humanitarian, Lisa Kristine, will be sharing how images can change the world and build global connections. The program is free and seat reservation is open. Secure your seats as this will be opened to the public in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy this last week of summer, everyone. May this time of rest and anticipation be heart-filling.
Blessings,
Jennifer Reinwald
Vice Principal of Student Life and Mission

Information on Treat Road Project
The City of Concord initiated their project to repave all six lanes of Treat Boulevard. Progress is being made, and we hope that most of the work will be completed around CHS and DLS by the time school starts. The general timeline for this project is May 15 – October 15, 2023.
Due to the ongoing lane closures during construction, expect more congestion and longer wait times than usual. Please be patient with construction workers and with our own security and school staff as we work to mitigate congestion and assist with traffic flow before and after school. Please plan accordingly for delays (especially when scheduling after school appointments).
Get up-to-date information on this project on the City of Concord’s project website.
Morning Shuttle
School-managed bus transportation is available in the mornings from the Tri-Valley area with communal stops in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Danville on the way to Carondelet.
Registration for current CHS (and DLS students who are siblings of current CHS students) is filling up quickly so secure your student(s) spot ASAP.
Rates are $1,200 for the school year. Morning shuttle service is offered on a first come, first serve basis. View more information and reserve your student’s spot on the Transportation webpage.
Carpool Directory
If you would like to be added to our carpool directory please send an email to Sonia Wilson. We will add you to our directory and share it with you.
Student Parking
For those students who have already secured a parking space for the 2023-24 school year, parking tags will be available at Student Orientation. For students who were placed on the waiting list this spring, please email Caitlin Main, Dean of Students, once you have a valid driver’s license.

Join our 1965 Society Today
Generous donors who make annual gifts of $1,965 or more in an academic year are invited to a reception with our President and recognized in Many the Gifts as members of the 1965 Society, commemorating the year of Carondelet's founding.
We invite those who aren't already members to join today by making a gift of $1,965 or more. In honor of your generosity, you'll immediately receive an invitation to our Cocktail Reception on August 24.
Your philanthropy makes an immediate and lasting impact on our students, faculty, staff, and families in the community. Tuition covers approximately 90% of our annual budget, and we rely on our community's generosity to bridge this gap by making an annual gift of $1,965.
Please reach out to the Carondelet Fund Director Lynne Sabbagha Kenny '86 P'24 to review your giving history or learn more about this donor society.
Thank you to our current and future members!
