LWVOPRF July 3 Week in Preview
Coming up in July
Thursday, July 20 - LWV Centennial Anniversary Committee Meeting at 1:00 pm at the LWV IL office on Michigan Ave.  Help plan the kick-off to the centennial celebrations starting at the 2018 LWV US Convention in Chicago. Contact Mary Kubasek if you are interested in attending this meeting in person or via conference call.  It would be great if each Illinois League had a representative attend.

Thursday, July 20 or Friday, July 21 - Would you like to learn more about the Watershed Game?  This game helps individuals understand the connection between land use and water quality.  This one day game training will teach individuals how to use the classroom version for youth and the Stream, Lake, and River version for local leaders. Read the flyer for complete information about this training and sign up ASAP. This facilitator training is open to not only League members, but to informal science teachers, Rotarians, and community members that want to lead water and land conservation education efforts. You can also watch this 20 minute video about "Nutrient Pollution, An Unprecedented Environmental Challenge".
