Graduations and Celebrations

Vita's end-of-year celebration for Family Literacy ESL was a resounding success at both Warminster and Croydon this past June. In attendance were staff from the offices of Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, Sen. Frank Farry, Rep. Brian Munroe and Rep.Tina Davis, adding a special touch to an already memorable occasion.

A Heartfelt Thanks to our Generous Donors!

As we bid farewell to our dedicated Executive Director, Mercedes Padrino Anderson, we are filled with gratitude towards everyone who contributed towards Vita's programs in honor of her retirement. Your generosity will play a vital role in ensuring that her remarkable vision and unwavering passion will continue to inspire and motivate us all!

Vita Vibes

Vita is excited to introduce our latest newsletter feature, Vita Vibes. This feature will cover a variety of topics contributed by Vita's Board and Staff in each issue. In the current issue, our Board President, Ellen Happ, shares her book recommendation: "The Truth about Immigration." The book aligns with Vita's mission as our ESL classes are vital in helping adult immigrants in Bucks County expand their job opportunities by learning English. Ellen provides a brief description of the book below.

"The Truth About Immigration; Why Successful Societies Welcome Newcomers”, by Zeke Hernandez, is an apolitical, evidence-based look at the economic and social implications of immigration. Hernandez is a professor of economics at Penn’s Wharton School and has spent twenty years researching the big questions about immigration in the United States. With stories and data, he shows how immigrants attract investment from their home countries and how businesses need newcomers to fill jobs as the US population ages and birth rates decline. He offers a path to fix our broken immigration system, and how it starts with framing immigration as economically and socially positive.
