WELCOME TO AFP, IE MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Hello, wonderful members of the Inland Empire AFP community,

As we dive into the heart of summer, the Inland Empire is buzzing with exciting events and activities. Despite the soaring temperatures, there's plenty to do and see. Here's a roundup of what's happening and some tips on staying cool during these hot months.

### Beat the Heat: Tips and Activities

**1. Visit Local Water Parks**

When the temperature rises, water parks like Raging Waters in San Dimas and The Cove Waterpark in Riverside are perfect for a fun-filled day of cooling off.

**2. Explore the Mountains**

Escape the heat by heading to higher elevations. The San Bernardino Mountains offer beautiful hiking trails, cool lakes, and charming mountain towns like Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead.

**3. Stay Hydrated and Protected**

Always carry water with you and stay hydrated. Wear light, breathable clothing, and don’t forget the sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun’s rays.

**4. Enjoy Indoor Activities**

Take advantage of air-conditioned indoor attractions. Visit local museums like the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, San Bernardino County Museum, or enjoy a day of shopping at Ontario Mills Mall.

### Stay Informed

**Wildfire Awareness**

Summer in California also means wildfire season. Stay informed about fire conditions and make sure you have an emergency plan in place. Visit Cal Fire’s website for up-to-date information and resources.
