Incoming Executive Committee

Effective July 1, 2024 Pam Fuehrer began her two-year term as Chair of the Board of Trustees. Deb Morel has just completed her term as Chair and will remain on the Board for another year. Outgoing and incoming Chairs are pictured at right.

Rounding out the Executive Committee, Susan Myers is continuing in her third year as Co-Vice Chair and will be joined by Jordan Copeland, who is shifting from his prior role as Finance Chair. Janet Korins continues in her third year as Secretary. Dana Matsushita, who was on the Advisory Committee and has led several arts & crafts classes, has been elected as the new Finance Chair.

Newly Elected Members of the Board of Trustees

In addition to Dana Matsushita, Scarsdale Adult School also welcomes Dalya Khan (far left) to the board of trustees for her first three-year term. Like Matsushita, Khan had also been serving on the Advisory Committee and is looking forward to her expanded role with SAS.

Rolling off the board are Sue Peppers and Mary Lou D'Silva. SAS thanks them for their contributions over the years and welcomes their ongoing engagement as students in the classroom.

Brand new to the Advisory Committee this coming year for their first two-year terms are

Judith Klein Frimer, Harriet Shenkman, Megan Simon, Lauren Wyler-Smith, and Amber Yusuf. The PTA and PTSA liaisons from each unit in Scarsdale and Edgemont are still in formation.

Hats off and many thanks to the following individuals who are rolling off the Advisory Committee: Zachary Harrison, Gary Katz, Richard Laufer, Laura Miller, Ann Sacher, Shelley Young, and Nicky Ziman.
