SightLine Applications Secures Strategic Investment from Artemis Capital Partners

Congrats to GTA Member SightLine Applications who recently announced their acquisition by Artemis Capital Partners! This partnership represents an opportunity for growth and development that will enable SightLine to capitalize on new growth opportunities, accelerate organizational and technology roadmap development, and enhance product offerings to better serve customers.

SightLine will still operate as an independent company maintaining offices in Portland and Hood River, OR and will continue to participate in local events and support the GTA. Read more here.

Google Supports Local

Nonprofit to Benefit Communities

GTA Member Google announced a partnership supporting the Farmers Conservation Alliance (FCA), a nonprofit based in Hood River that supports farmers, ranchers and communities across the West by modernizing old, leaking irrigation infrastructure. Google has awarded a second grant to FCA to expand their data-sharing platform that manages detailed reporting and analysis on water usage. This data is critical for decision makers at all levels seeking solutions as the region continues to face severe drought. The funding will improve the database capabilities to allow the FCA to share data to more farmers, local governments, state and federal agencies, and others helping shape the future of water use in Oregon and six other states. ICAP Launch held its kick-off meeting with the Core Team for the Gorge UAS Innovation Cluster and Washington's Department of Commerce. Commerce's goal with ICAP Launch is to provide tools and training for cluster development and growth. Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD) is administering Commerce's grant with the support and participation of many GTA members. The kick-off meeting was a good first step in understanding the support Commerce will be providing, the expectations for cluster development and the future opportunities this cluster can create and utilize.
