Welcome Teacher Adam
Adam Roberto Escárcega has 10 years of experience teaching toddler and preschool age children. He also has worked with infants, so he is well versed in the precious and critical early childhood development stages.

Adam earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Santa Barbara City College and has his site supervisor permit. He taught toddlers at Storyteller from 2016-2019 before moving to Head Start in Goleta. He returned to Storyteller this past June, to teach preschool and work with the families to support the young scholars as they prepare for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Teacher Adam is easily recognizable wearing a baseball cap and a warm and welcoming smile!

Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Supports Storyteller
'Service Above Self'
Storyteller Children’s Center received a $4,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara in support of the organization’s Food Program. The funding supports Storytellers efforts to provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack for the children each day. Support for our food program goes beyond feeding the children as it relieves some of the financial burden families face and aids in the challenges that low-income families experience related to food insecurity.
Welcoming Volunteers Back to Storyteller
Great news, we are finally welcoming volunteers back to Storyteller Children's Center. It has been a long two years without our Storyteller Friends supporting our teachers. We thank you for your patience while we waited for COVID guidelines to ease. We have begun scheduling volunteers for the for the summer, so get your application in today!

If you are interested in volunteering, we now have an online application.

Please contact Haileigh Ortiz with any questions about the volunteer application process.
