Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Donates $90,000 to
Piedmont Housing Alliance
Funds will be used to purchase a van for food delivery and to create a community food pantry

We are excited to announce a new grant award of $90,000 from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Funding will be used to purchase a van to deliver food and resources to 11 housing communities and for capital improvements at Friendship Court, which will create a food pantry for residents and the surrounding community.

With single-family houses of many sizes, large houses broken up into apartments, and a five-story apartment building all on one street, Altamont Circle is a good visual example of what this proposed tweak to the draft Future Use Land Map (FLUM) could help bring about, say Sunshine Mathon and Dan Rosensweig.
