A report on the Cordata Community Garden.
If you have a chance, drive up on Cordata Parkway, almost to Kline Road, and take a look at our new garden storage shed. With the help of volunteers it is being outfitted with hardware, shelving, and paint. Chris Calverly, Dan Norvelle, and Kaitlin Schanken are leading the other garden volunteers. The shed was built by the shop class at Meridian H.S, teacher Brent Fuller at no charge to the Cordata Neighborhood Association. Paul Kratzig, a CNA Board Member, found donations for materials to build the shed and transport it to the garden site. Cam Kerst a CNA Board member wrote a grant for $1500.00 and that amount was awarded to us by the City of Bellingham at the direction of Mayor Kelli Linville. Cam was assisted by CNA President Ralph Myers and Co-Founder Julie Guy. Thanks to all who helped out in this major accomplishment and project.
