Vases Needed

The flower ministry is in need of medium size vases for our deliveries. If you have any vases that you would like to donate, please drop them off in the church office.

Summer Missions: 3 Ways to Care

This July we have three drives you can participate in to show love and care for your neighbors in need:

1) Global Academy Shoe Drive

2) Serve the Hungry Clothing Drive

3) Backpack Supplies Blast for Milk and Honey Outreach

FUMC Summer Camp

Through August 4 | Half Day 8:00am - Noon | $100 Week

First Church, in conjunction with the Methodist Children's Academy, is offering weekly summer camps for rising 1st - 6th graders through August 4. Full-day spots have been filled, but there is still room for half-day campers. Half-day camps last from 8:00am to noon and cost $100 per week. And each week has a special theme. If you are interested in half-day camps, please call or email the Methodist Children's Academy at 850-438-6761 or MCA@fumcpensacola.com.

Wednesday Dinner and Wilderness Trail Recap

5:00–6:30pm | The Wright Place

Join us this Wednesday in The Wright Place as we gather around the table for a delicious meal and good fellowship. Our menu will be: Hamburgers, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Potato Chips, and Bread Pudding, and it will be served from 5:00-6:00pm. After we eat, our Wilderness Trail hikers will share stories and pictures from their time on trail. This is always a fun dinner to be a part of, and we hope you’ll be with us. Summer weekly get together for preschoolers. Preschool 3's and 4's (as of Sept 1, 2023) can be dropped off. Younger children are welcome to come with an accompanying parent. Summer Sunday School Sessions

Sundays Through July 30 | 9:45am | The Wright Place, Great Hall 

This summer, during the Sunday School hour (9:45–10:45am), we are inviting everyone to gather in the Great Hall for Summer Sunday School Sessions. Each week there will be a speaker(s) to share a story of faith with us. Speakers will include our local Rabbi, FUMC Clergy and Staff Members, our Tanzania team, and more! These sessions will help make space for new people, give teachers a break during the summer, and create an opportunity to get to know people from other classes. If you know of someone who would be a great speaker, please let Pastor Emily know (EKincaid@FUMCPensacola.com).

Sanctuary Flowers

Flowers for July 16th were given to the glory of God and in celebration of Katie Bryant’s 28th birthday on July 9 by Jeff, Terrill & Chris Bryant; and in loving memory of Matt Bryant on his 34th birthday on July 13 by Jeff, Terrill, Chris and Katie Bryant.

The rose on the altar was in celebration of the birth of Leighton Claire Hodges, born on July 5th, 2023. Leighton is the daughter of Lindsay and Justin Hodges. Proud grandparents are Joyce and David Williams.

You may place flowers in the Sanctuary in honor, celebration or memory of someone. The arrangements are $65.00 each. To reserve a date, email Ginger at GRaines@FUMCPensacola.com.
