Body and Mind classroom resources portal, and provides a final opportunity to register for the Site Safety Security Assessment class on July 23rd in Mason City.

Last Chance to Register!

Site Safety Security Assessment in Mason City

July 23rd

This is the last chance to register for the Site Safety Security Assessment class on July 23, 2024, in Mason City, IL. The training provides awareness resources and preparedness training to enhance organizational capacity to conduct multidisciplinary site assessments. The process of conducting a school site safety security assessment creates opportunities to reduce or eliminate potential hazards and develop recommendations for improvement.

Illinois School Safety Conference Oct. 2nd

The Illinois School Safety Conference is scheduled for October 2, 2024, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in Niles, IL. This conference is free for school personnel, police, emergency preparedness personnel, and public safety officers (you must bring your school or agency ID to enter the event). The conference includes speakers from various organizations, free continental breakfast and lunch, and onsite vendors. Additionally, paperwork will be provided on site for school personnel seeking Professional Development hours. For more information and to register, click here.

CDC's BAM! Body and Mind - Resources for Teachers

The CDC's BAM! Body and Mind Classroom Resources for Teachers is a resource portal for elementary and junior high educators.The portal provides classroom resources for educators "to help students make healthier lifestyle choices." The portal includes 8 educational units featuring information on nutrition, physical education and activity, health conditions, mental health, injury prevention, e-cigarettes, alcohol, and more.
