Judson needs love from you!

Just as God's love is eternal, it seems that the maintenance needs of a 100+-year-old building are everlasting. To ease that burden (and save Judson some serious dough), you are invited to join us on two upcoming Saturdays and help provide our beautiful building with some TLC.

We will convene on August 10 from 10 am-2 pm to continue doing exterior window work. We'll have options for working inside or out on a variety of tasks. No experience or expertise is needed, just a desire to help. You can stay the entire time or be there for a little while. We will take a break partway through for refreshments.

Please let Clay know if you can help out so we can plan accordingly:  cclaygus913@gmail.com

Join the Hospitality Check-up/Check-in

Saturday, August 10, 9:30 - 11 am - Ann Judson Room

We have been operating with the new Hospitality Team organization, and it is time to check in!! We need more Judson folks to participate as hospitality team members, so please join us on Saturday, August 10, for more information. Share your thoughts and questions and hear from the newest Team members. Just a gentle reminder – Hospitality is one of Judson’s Core Values. Let Polly Schrom know if you can come (schrompolly@gmail.com or text 612-704-1673).

AUDITION FOR A ROCK OPERA ABOUT THE ORIGINS OF RACE!

Tenors/baritones and altos/mezzo sopranos are needed! If you're an ear player who can learn music by listening, join our workshop by Minneapolis writers Randy Baker and Doug Weatherhead. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at Judson Memorial Baptist Church September to October. Auditions are on Tuesday, August 27th, at 7 pm and will be directed by Coletrane Johnson. Singers will be paid a $100 stipend. No roles are precast. Contact Randy Baker (randybaker612@gmail.com or 612-655-4108) for song recordings. We are also looking for a Music Director who can learn and teach singers by ear, from recordings, without written scores. Know anybody? LMK!

Volunteer Opportunities:

 Tell your story!

We would love to hear your story – volunteer to do a Personal Reflection in worship! Contact Karla Forsyth at karlamcgray@hotmail.com

Worship Readers are needed!

Be a part of Judson’s worship experience – volunteer to be a Worship Reader! The Worship Reader will be involved in sharing Judson’s Land Acknowledgement, the first lesson of the morning (scripture or contemporary), and reading the prayer intents with Carolyn. The role requires a clear and articulate voice and the ability to convey the emotion and meaning behind the words, helping the congregation to engage with the service on a deeper level. We need you! Contact Polly Schrom at schrompolly@gmail.com

 Help on Sunday mornings.

We are looking for people to help greet and pass out the bulletins on Sunday morning. We could also use more people to help with the offering too. If you

would be interested, please contact the office at info@judsonchurch.org or call 612-822-0649.
