News and Announcements for the week of January 28, 2024

Updated: Events happening in February and March

Events - January calendar

Welcome to Judson Memorial Baptist Church. This morning, we continue our deep dive into our four Core Values: Hospitality, Social Justice, Deep Spirituality, and Joy. The sermon today, "Joyful Spirituality," focuses on...Deep Spirituality and Joy. This morning we also welcome back Time with Children and our guest co-host, Corey (think Core Values) Heart. After worship, we welcome The Planet Care Road Show!

In March, I will offer an Oscar-themed sermon series. The series will focus/mention/touch on themes featured in these movies: American Fiction, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Anatomy of a Fall, Rustin, The Holdovers, Maestro, Poor Things, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Do you have to watch all or any of these movies? Of course not. But if you are wanting some film recommendations and/or are curious about what kinds of themes film culture is exploring this year...these movies are a good place to start.

Finally, a New Members Class will take place in February. Please talk with the pastor or email him at gtnorvell@judsonchurch.org if you are interested in joining or knowing more about this interesting, quirky, welcoming, amazing spiritual community.

Peace of Christ be with you,

Travis
