She has also actively been involved in CJA’s Judicial Fairness Coalition, which works to address attacks on judicial independence.

“I feel deeply connected to CJA’s mission, and the people we serve,” said Judge Apaloo. “It is a true honor to serve in this role, and I am committed to working with my peers across the state to further our mission and better serve California’s citizens.”

In addition to Judge Apaloo’s election, Judge Tony Cho, Los Angeles Superior Court, and Judge Jeffrey C. Kauffman, Solano County Superior Court, were elected to serve as CJA Vice Presidents for 2024-2025, and Riverside Superior Court Judge Jennifer R. Gerard was elected Secretary/Treasurer. All officers will be sworn in at CJA’s Annual Meeting this fall in San Jose.
