Dear Parents and Students, 

We are looking forward to Jterm 2024, happening January 2-5, 2024! The registration process is fast approaching. Please read through the following details to best prepare for that process.

Middle School

Middle school students are automatically enrolled in their Jterm experiences. More detailed packets and information for Excelerate (6th grade), Elevate (7th grade) and Prepare to Believe (8th grade) will be forthcoming from the leaders of these Jterm experiences.  

High School Seniors and Juniors

Jterm registration for high school students in grades 12 and 11, opens on Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2023, for International Trips, Domestic Trips, and On-Campus offerings. Registration with payment is completed online. Parents will receive a text alert on Sunday, 9/10/23, notifying them to check email for the Jterm link. 

Access to the online registration starts with Seniors at 1:30 p.m. Registration for Juniors opens at 2:30 p.m.  Please note:  Registrations for underclassmen made before their assigned registration time will be canceled.

High School Sophomores and Freshmen

Registration for high school students in grades 10 and 9 opens next week on Sunday, September 17, 2023, for Domestic Trips and On-Campus offerings. Parents will receive a text alert on Sunday, 9/17/23, notifying them to check their email for the Jterm link.

Participation Requirement and Expectations

For high school students, participation in Jterm or Mterm is a graduation requirement each year a student is enrolled at CVCA.  We encourage you to spend time together as a family exploring and discussing which options might be both beneficial and financially feasible for your child. The costs and details for each Jterm opportunity are listed in the document. Students should have 2nd and 3rd choice options in mind when registering in the event their first choice is closed.

High school students must enroll in one of the following options: 

• All-day class
• Morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) class sessions - creating a full-day experience for the week
• Trip (a deposit is required at the time of registration)
• Career Experience Opportunity (grades 11-12) 

Important Note: Winter athletes are expected to select a local Jterm opportunity, provided their team is not offering a team Jterm, so they can participate in practices and games as outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook. Any questions or concerns regarding this policy should be directed to the Athletic Department. Boys Basketball, Hockey, and Wrestling have opportunities available for their team members.

Payment Obligations and Cancellation Policy

Payment in full is due at the time of registration with the exception of trips. For CVCA planned trips, 50% of the total trip cost is due at the time of registration, with the balance of the trip paid on October 5 and November 6, automatically through FACTS. A deposit for all Joshua Expedition (JE) trips is collected at registration. Families register directly with JE once the CVCA registration is complete. All payments for JE trips are made directly to JE following their payment schedule. Please note that JE trips all include the “Cancel for any Reason” trip insurance.

Please note: CVCA reserves the right to cancel classes or trips not meeting minimum enrollments.
