Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Today is the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. Interestingly, we begin the month of Our Lady with a feast day for her earthly spouse. "It is a day to celebrate the dignity of work and the contributions that workers make to society. It is also a day to reflect on the example of Saint Joseph, who worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to serve God." Look for more about today's feast here.

This month look for ways to help moms and ways to celebrate moms. We wish both spiritual moms and physical moms an extraordinary month and a very special Mother's Day.

Please let us know how we can better serve you and your parish as we carry out our mission of evangelization to help parishes bring people to an encounter with Christ and a deeper appreciation of the Catholic faith. (Contact us at family@diocesepb.org)

May God's Mercy and Peace be with you and your family,

Cathy, Deacon Louie, Beth, Liliana, Andy, Maria,

Cindy and Rosario

Walking with Moms in Need

Walking with Moms in Need is a year-long campaign for our community to “walk in the shoes” of local pregnant and parenting women. Catholic Charities and Respect Life Ministry are reaching out to help moms and families throughout the Diocese of Palm Beach.

FLOWERS ASSOCIATED WITH MARY

Gifting mothers with flowers on Mother’s Day has become a yearly tradition, one that certainly generates a nice income for the floral industry.

It is also one that might remind us of these ancient associations with the Blessed Mother.

Whether we are givers or receivers of actual flowers or even flowers of the heart, we can all reflect this Mother’s Day on the graces with which we have been filled. In doing so, let us turn with confidence to Mary and ask for her prayers on our behalf and for all of those in need of comfort, joy, protection, and love.

“For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one. So, they are no longer two but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”
