2014+ Chevy Caprice 14" Console Solution

The Jotto Desk team has worked to ensure that the products they introduce, to its' customers, stand up to the high demand for quality, durability and functionality.

When Chevy moved the shifter from the console area to the column and changed the dash area/structure, we spent a good deal of time trying to figure out how to remove structure to create a void and improve console depth. Unfortunately, we were not able to make that happen. Unlike our previous solutions that gained depth by removing the OEM sub-structure - removal of the 2014's gained little more than the thickness of the metal. The only downside is that similar to our previous Caprice solutions - equipment depth is very limited. Remote Head or shallow equipment are pretty much mandatory with this vehicle. We designed "deeper" consoles in CAD to accommodate deeper equipment...but deeper consoles meant higher computer mounts. Higher computer mounts meant visibility issues, airbag concerns and driving concerns. Unfortunately, we weren't able to lower the transmission hump height or raise the dash height.

Jotto Desk has taken advantage of OEM mounting points to secure our 14" Console. From an installation point of view, this is an outstanding design...allowing for a quick and easy installation. As well, the console is designed and prepared to accept our Console Side Mount (CSM - 425-5542) as an extremely solid laptop mounting solution. This benefits passengers, as there is more leg room than with a traditional No-Holes Mount. If a traditional solution is what you are looking for, then you will be glad to know that the 11+ Caprice No Holes Mount (425-5591) still works with the 14+ Caprice. The 425-6164 14+ Caprice Console is ready for orders and will begin shipping the week of 1/13/14.
