The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation announced a $1 million investment in Miami-Dade arts organizations. The
Pérez CreARTE Grants Program aims to expand access to the arts and support top talent through fellowships and spaces for creation. We spoke with Jorge and Darlene about the family's vision for their community and why they chose philanthropy to shape Miami as a
global arts hub.

Oolite Arts will bring renowned visual artist Mel Chin to work alongside local artists. Dennis Scholl, Oolite president and CEO, took us on a tour of their studio space and shared how the
grant will help Miami artists advance their careers by giving them an affordable space to collaborate with top talent.

Miami Leaders alum says program helped sharpen his nonprofit executive leadership skills – applications now open
Through
Miami Leaders grants, local nonprofit executives access premier leadership training programs across the country.
Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami's T.J. Black, a member of the 2018-2019 class, attended Columbia Business School's Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals. He shared how the experience
better-positioned him to lead museum operations.
Applications for the 2019-2020 class are
due June 14th.
