We were stuccoing a house and I was way up on a roof doing some finish floating on this job, when all of a sudden, the little pieces of sand that helped make up the concrete, that was crucial to the job became my enemy. My boots started to move downhill on their own as the little pieces of rock created a ball bearing effect under my boots and in a split second not only did I know I was moving, I realized I could not stop. My hands were filled with a hawk and a razor-sharp trowel. If I was going down, those things could not be in my hands. As I traveled down the roof line at ‘breakneck speed’ (I now know what that wise tail phrase means). I threw the hawk and trowel away from me and anyone I saw and prepared for an unprecedent Olympic style landing, hoping for a 10!



           In that moment although the situation was very serious, I had hope. I was young and agile and if I could keep my feet down and get over all of the scaffolding maybe, just maybe, I could come out of this thing alive. You see, the hope that I had in a belief that I could come out of this, propelled me to think of what I had to do to come out alive.

           Hope…when you have it, there is always a tomorrow.

           Hope…when you experience it, it changes your tomorrow.

           Hope…when you possess it, it changes your understanding of tomorrow.

           We have what the world is looking for…Hope. Why not share it so when someone is falling, they can know there is an alternative to their situation and His name is Jesus.
